Love to Read Week

Love to Read Week

This week has been Love to Read Week. The book we have studied was The Gruffalo by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler.

"There's no such thing as a gruffalo?"

Room 17 have had lots of fun reading, creating and being the different characters within the story.  Today we got to watch the movie and then looked at the differences between the book and the film.

Harper and Te Arahi share their character pictures.

Manuia and Leo tell us about their favourite characters.
Ruby and Francis busy with their drawings.

We had fun re-telling the story with puppets.

Children from Room 3 read the story to us too.

Love to Read Week is a great way to end the term!

Here we are presenting what we found out.

Harper explaining about our ear

Te Arahi is talking about how our brain works

Leo puts all the information together
