Love to Read Week

Love to Read Week  

This week has been Love to Read Week. The book we have studied was The Gruffalo by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler.

"There's no such thing as a gruffalo?"

Room 17 have had lots of fun reading, creating and being the different characters within the story.  Today we got to watch the movie and then looked at the differences between the book and the film.

Love to Read Week is a great way to end the term!

Fairy Bread

          Making Fairy Bread .........

You will need:

Bread.

Butter

Sprinkles

A knife.

Steps:

1.  Put butter on the bread.

2.  Put sprinkles on the       bread.

3.  Cut the bread.

4.  Eat it up!

Yum!  Yum!  Yum!

   

Room 17 have really enjoyed learning about instructions!

On Tuesday for World Literacy Day, we dressed up as book characters.   Check out who we were and what we got up to......

Making Jelly

How to make Jelly   

For writing, we have been learning about how to write instructions.  We have looked at and written about the steps involved in making jelly.  Here are the steps:

1. Put the jelly in the bowl.       
2. Put in 2 cups of hot water.    
3. Stir.                                     
4. Put the bowl in the fridge.
5. Leave to set.
6. Eat the jelly up!
